also, as a heads up for people on 5.xx and people on 6.xx and 7.xx as well: as you might know, 5.xx patches a bunch of different things, mmap being one of them, which is essential for kstuff. there are people trying to find a workaround for that in order to enable backup loading. also 6.xx and above prevent writing to kernel data pages via the normal means. there are also people working on that, but don't expect the job to be easy. last but not least, 8.xx and above prevent most syscalls and ioctls from running, so it'll make the job of hacking a ps5 almost impossible. consider selling your console and buying one on a low firmware if you have a 8.xx or above console. |
